We hope you have enjoyed these images of the Granada. Although it has been gone for nearly a decade, there are many northsiders—as well as theatre fans from around the world—who continue to mourn its loss.

The Uptown Theatre is now the only remaining movie palace of this size and scale left on the north side of Chicago. Please consider signing the Uptown Theatre Petition as well as writing to Mary Ann Smith, the 48th Ward alderman, to let her know how you feel about the preservation of such rare civic treasures.
