Jewish Graceland Cemetery

Located on Clark, half a block south of Irving Park Road, the so-called "Jewish Graceland" Cemetery is really a collection of four cemeteries: Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, Anshe Mayrev, Cemetery of the Congregation of the Sons of Peace, and Chebra Kadisha Ubikar Cholm. The Hebrew Benevolent Society was established in 1851, predating the major cemeteries of Rosehill, Calvary, and Graceland. Although the cemeteries are poorly maintained and many of the stones have been vandalized, it is still a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
